oh yes, and i keep forgetting, i am not feeling so great either. which is part of the problem... with everything else going on i just can't seem to remember to take airborne twice a day, or even a short nap.
i have many thoughts about a few of these events... some of which will remain unsaid except that we will now be looking for a new physician.
as for the parking ticket, i must admit, i did find the 5-day payment deadline a bit extreme, although in all honesty it just slipped my mind. i called the magistrate yesterday and hoped for mercy and grace. the clerk woman did not care. i think she actually took pleasure in denying me. but i am determined to be more persistent than the widow Jesus talked about. not that i believe i am above the law. i don't have much patience for those who are always looking for a loophole. but we could pay our debt in other ways... like community service! i thought it was a pretty brilliant option. we'll see what the judge thinks.
all of this got me thinking about justice. i love justice. especially when i'm the victim. but what about when we're the guilty party? completely responsible and undeniably at fault. our view on justice changes slightly, does it not?
i am so grateful that God does not operate like our justice system. there would be no hope for any of us, for all have sinned and fall [desperately] short of the glory of God (rom. 3.23).
but for those who approach the cross with humble and repentant hearts, there is hope (jn 6.35). there is mercy. salvation. grace. life in all its abundance.
Jesus.
the Christ.
for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.
acts 4.12
thank you, Lord.
