bonjour à nouveau

{hello, again}

So.
I was very tempted to see if I could sneak this little blog post in and pretend like it hasn't been, oh, about 912 days since my last post.

[yikes]

BUT - I'm guessing that you've already noticed.
Annnnnd, judging by the number of dwindling posts on my blogger reading list, I'd be willing to bet that I'm not the only one who has about 3 inches of virtual dust piling up on top of their own little blog.

I just heard a chorus of groaning, 'OH nooooooo.  One more thing I forgot to dust!!!'
Now hear me.

Unless you've been hearing God nudging you to put words down on paper, type words out on a screen, or speak loud and clear from a microphone - this does not apply to you.
Unless you've felt that divine prompting and decidedly ignored it or subtly penciled it in at the bottom of your to-do list-
Unless you have thought about it a thousand times, then brushed it off a thousand more, rationalizing that 'Life is too busy' and 'I am too tired,' or even (wait for it) - 'I am not good/talented/gifted enough-'

[Why. Why. WHY - have we become so good at pointing out and voicing our failures, and so terribly awful at acknowledging our gifts?]

- Well then, you are off the hook.

But, if you're like me, finding time for America's Got Talent and bi-weekly pedicures but not the small acts of obedience that we are called to every day,
then I think we have some work to do.

And on that note,
Welcome back!

I'll refrain from shamelessly begging for comments like I did the first time.
(Although if you want in on that, click here.)

One thing I will repeat:  If God gives us a word to speak, we should speak it.
And I do believe that God is speaking - to you, to me, to all of us.

I pray this blog is a blessing to you, like a word of truth saturated in love, spoken by a cherished friend over iced chai lattes.  I pray you are refreshed, challenged, and known.  I pray that somehow the sterile nature of the internet is overcome by goodness and mercy and a sense that you can finally take a deep breath.
I have needed all these things, lately.  In abundant quantities.
I pray, that if you have too, then you will find some here.

Blessings!
